Where it performs

The foundation inside the lubricants that keep industry moving

Every engine oil, hydraulic fluid and industrial grease starts with base oil. Our Group I to III slate gives blenders the viscosity, purity and oxidation stability that modern specifications demand, backed by consistent refinery sourcing.

Solvent refined

Solvent-refined, dewaxed and hydrofinished, with < 90 % saturates and/or > 0.03 % sulphur and a viscosity index of 80 to 120. The workhorse slate for automotive and industrial lubricants, greases, rubber processing and metalworking fluids.

A light-viscosity Group I solvent neutral cut. Its low pour point and light colour make it the preferred base for textile and spindle oils, light process oils and metalworking fluid formulations.

The general-purpose light neutral of the Group I slate. A balanced cut used across automotive lubricants, hydraulic and industrial oils and rubber processing, with dependable solvency and additive response.

A heavier solvent neutral used where film strength and thermal durability matter, including heavy-duty engine oils, industrial gear and circulating oils, greases and metalworking formulations.

The high-viscosity bright stock of the slate, blended into marine cylinder oils, heavy gear oils and greases wherever very high viscosity and film thickness are required.

Hydro-processed

Produced by hydrocracking and hydrotreating, with ≥ 90 % saturates, ≤ 0.03 % sulphur and a viscosity index of 80 to 120. Water-white colour and superior oxidation stability make Group II the modern standard for engine oil formulation.

A very light hydro-processed neutral with water-white colour and excellent oxidation stability, suited to transformer-oil feedstock, low-viscosity hydraulic fluids and speciality applications.

The versatile mid-viscosity Group II cut and the modern default for passenger car motor oils, plus a broad range of industrial lubricants where colour, purity and oxidation stability are critical.

A heavy Group II neutral delivering excellent thermal and oxidation stability for heavy-duty diesel engine oils, industrial gear oils and grease production.

VHVI

Severely hydrocracked and isomerised to a viscosity index ≥ 120 with ≥ 97 % saturates and near-zero sulphur. Performance approaching Group IV synthetics, forming the backbone of top-tier synthetic lubricants.

A light VHVI base oil with viscosity index above 120, the enabler of fuel-economy 0W and 5W engine oils, automatic transmission fluids and premium hydraulic fluids.

The most widely used Group III grade worldwide, at the heart of modern synthetic passenger car motor oils and top-tier heavy-duty formulations.

A heavier VHVI cut for formulations that need higher film thickness with synthetic-level purity, such as gear synthetics and high-film-strength engine oils.

Viscosity grades other than those listed, and not lighter than SN 60, 60N or 4 cSt respectively, can be supplied against mutually agreed specifications under IS 18722. Re-refined (RR) Group I grades are also available; talk to our desk.
